12. Jefferson’s Ocean WheatedGet it
Founder Trey Zoeller was inspired to create the Ocean line of Jefferson’s whiskeys after watching a glass of bourbon gently rocking on the deck of a ship. What would happen if that bourbon were still in the barrel, interacting with the wood? Jefferson’s Ocean—which includes a rye bourbon and cask-strength variant, as well as the Wheated bourbon—answers that question. The whiskeys age first on land for a few years, then spend several months at sea, where they’re agitated, heated and cooled, then exposed to salt air. The end result is unmistakably unique.
