Anchor California Lager
Brewer: Anchor Brewing
Style: American Pale Lager
Anchor Brewing's pre-Prohibition recipe dates back to 1876, when a tiny brewery called Boca brewed California's first genuine lager. This golden re-creation of an historic American product is brewed with local two-row barley, Cluster hops (the dominant hop in the 19th century), and Anchor's own proprietary yeast for a clean, crisp taste. It's an easy-to-drink, medium-bodied refresher with hints of biscuity malt that hearkens back to the earliest days of West Coast brewing.
