Thomas Jefferson’s Tavern Ale
Brewer: Yards Brewing
Style: English Strong Ale
One third of Yards' Ales of the Revolution series, which also includes General Washington's Tavern Porter (a recipe Washington detailed in a letter to his officers) and Poor Richard's Tavern Spruce (based on a recipe by Benjamin Franklin), Thomas Jefferson's Tavern Ale was developed in partnership with Philadelphia's historic City Tavern to replicate the actual beer brewed at Jefferson's famous estate, Monticello. Crafted with local honey, rye, and wheat, it's a strong, malty, caramel-smacked delight.
