16. Bruichladdich Octomore 8.4 Virgin Oak
Octomore has long been a whisky nerd’s whisky. The most recent release, 8.4, is a 8-year-old whisky aged in virgin oak, giving it toasty, brighter flavors and a nice honey mellowness. It’s an unusual bottle, even within an unusual portfolio, and cracking it open with your dad and learning the pronunciation of “Bruichladdich” together sounds like the perfect bonding experience.
