The Source – Denver
Open since 2013 in a former brick foundry building from the 1880s, artisan food market The Source houses Acorn, one of the best restaurants in Denver — which also happens to quietly peddle a few 750 mL bottles of top-notch, hard-to-find craft brews such as Dogfish Head Squall and Odell Friek. Meanwhile, The Proper Pour, an independent wine and spirits bottle shop, sells an excellent variety of carefully curated beers to add to your stash. But the Source's main attraction for any beer fan is the incredible taproom from Crooked Stave, the cult brewery specializing in world-class wild fermented and sour beers. And after downing a few Surette Provision Saisons, you can grab a pick-me-up at Boxcar Coffee Roasters — if you've done your visit right, you'll need it.
