Look Better
If too much partying leaves you looking like Brandon Davis, you could slather your mug with cucumber slices. They contain caffeic acid, which can shrink swelling. Not up for looking like Mrs. Roper? Drinking cuke juice is just as good for the skin.

Live Longer
By now everyone knows green tea is chock-full of disease-fighting antioxidants-but did you know it may actually help you live longer? In a recent long-term study, Japanese researchers found that guys who drank green tea regularly had a lower risk of death from cardiovascular disease and other causes than those who didn’t.

Buy The Best
When it comes to buying vodka, it’s true that you get what you pay for: A higher price tag does tend to reflect higher quality. Premium vodka is typically made from potatoes, soy, or wheat, and it has a smoother flavor and less burn than lower-grade vodka. Generally, the more distilled and filtered it is, the better, so look for labels that read, for example, “triple distilled.”

Fight Cancer
In addition to soothing your stomach, ginger may help prevent colorectal cancer: In an animal study from the University of Minnesota, gingerol, the component that makes ginger spicy, was shown to reduce the size of tumors. To make a calorie-free ginger syrup, use 1 cup of granulated sugar substitute, 1 cup of water, and 1z4 inch of fresh ginger. Mix ingredients in a saucepan, bring almost to a boil, remove from heat, strain out ginger, and let cool.
