Rosemary
Rosemary is a great herb for lamb, pork, or steak. In the South, rosemary can be grown outdoors year-round. Because it can reach 5-feet high some gardeners even use rosemary as an evergreen hedge. It also does well in pots which gardeners farther north can easily move inside in the winter. Purchase rosemary plants from a local nursery or garden center and plant in well-drained soil with a little bit of fertilizer such as fish emulsion. Rosemary can tolerate shade but prefers full sun, and needs to be pruned regularly, especially after flowering. Though fresh is best, rosemary cuttings can be dried on low heat in the oven and saved in your herb rack for whenever needed.
