Lean Beef and Black Bean Burgers

These diet-friendly burgers are high in protein and low in guilt.

Take your average, run-of-the-mill hamburger and mix in some extra protein by adding some heart-healthy black beans. After you throw the two together and blend in some mustard and oil, toss them on the grill for a diet-friendly—yet delicious—burger.

  • ½ cup canned, drained black beans
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 Tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 4 whole wheat buns

Mix all ingredients together in a big bowl.

Form into patties.

Grill and serve on whole-wheat buns.
