3. Scramble fried rice
Skip the takeout containers and make your own fried rice. Boil one cup of water, ½ teaspoon of salt, and 2 tblsp of low-sodium soy sauce; then, add one cup of instant rice and stir. Remove from heat, cover, and let sit for five minutes. Meanwhile, heat 1tsp of sesame oil in a wok or skillet over medium heat, then sauté ½ cup of onions, ½ cup of green beans, ½ cup of bean sprouts, and two garlic cloves for 2-3 minutes. Pour in one beaten egg and scramble for two minutes, then stir in the rice and mix. Top it off with two finely chopped green onions and a dash of pepper. Serve with stir-fried chicken breast or grilled shrimp.
