Even culinary freshman can handle throwing frozen vegetables in a pan with some protein. That’s stir-fry in a nutshell—and it couldn’t be easier or more affordable.

“I like the variety of green beans, mushrooms, onions, carrots, and broccoli Chinese-style stir-fry vegetable blend bags offer, but you could use any medley that you like,” says New York-based nutritionist Brigitte Zeitlin, R.D., owner of BZ Nutrition. “The key is really loading up on vegetables for the fiber.”

Fiber helps boost your heart health, prevent diabetes, lower inflammation, and maintain a healthy weight.

“Fiber is huge when it comes to upping the nutrition in a meal,” she adds.
