3 oz sake
2 oz fresh lemon juice (approximately 1 lemon)
1-2 tbsp maple syrup (to taste)
Dash cayenne pepper
*This sugar alternative is made with ground dates and is available in most health-food stores.
To Make:  Rub a slice of lemon around the rim of a martini glass and dip the rim into the date sugar.  Add sake, lemon juice, maple syrup, and cayenne pepper to an ice-filled shaker.  Shake and strain into glass. (If a martini glass seems too girly, you can also serve the drink on the rocks in a short glass.)  Serve.
