Get ready for nationwide beer-fueled mayhem: Sierra Nevada Beer Camp festival dates and locations have officially been announced.
For many hop heads, Sierra Nevada’s Beer Camp has meant looking forward to new beer releases resulting from collaborations with craft brewers across the country. These beers have been available in a Beer Camp 12-pack, as well as in single releases in bottles and on draft.
Now three years into the annual Beer Camp series, the Chico, California–based brewery has taken the concept to the next level, brewing six collaboration beers with breweries in the States and six more with breweries abroad. The 2017 international project has been dubbed, appropriately, Beer Camp Across the World, and is available in 12-packs starting in June.
Another facet of Beer Camp is Beer Camp on Tour, involving a roving series of festivals taking place across the country. The 2017 Beer Camp festivals will hit eight cities nationwide this June:
Each festival is thrown in partnership with a local non-profit, and will feature local bands and food trucks, along with hundreds of breweries. In fact, according to Sierra Nevada, more than 700 breweries participated in 2016.
Beer Camp collaborations for 2017 stateside include: Avery Brewing Co. of Boulder, Colorado; Boneyard Beer of Bend, Oregon; Saint Arnold Brewing Co. of Houston; Surly Brewing Co. of Minneapolis; The Briery of Placentia, California; and Tree House Brewing Co. of Monson, Massachusetts.
Overseas collaborators include: Ayinger Brewery of Aying, Germany; Duvel of Breendonk, Belgium; Fuller’s Brewery of London; Garage Project from Wellington, New Zealand; Kiuchi Brewery from Naka, Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan; and Mikkeller of Copenhagen.
