Sierra Nevada Offers a Sneak Peek at the Year’s Most Anticipated 12-Pack

In the summer of 2014, Sierra Nevada Brewing teamed up with a dozen of its favorite craft brewers to create the ultimate mixed 12-pack for beer nerds. The ales and lagers ranged from a milk stout brewed with Ninkasi and a tropical maibock lager from Cigar City, to a Belgian blonde made with Russian River. After taking 2015 off, Sierra Nevada is bringing its variety pack back in spring of 2016, but with a big change. This year, Sierra Nevada invited 30 brewers to come together and make six beers, with groups of five designated by region — each of which gets its own Beer Camp festival.

The six teams began planning their beers back in September 2015 and have since brewed two pilot batches as the recipes have been refined. Today Sierra Nevada released a teaser video of the brewers sharing what type of beer they're working on. None fit easily into any style or category — especially the Southeast's tea-inspired brew — and that makes us all the more excited as we're seeing some of the very best brewers in America (see the full roster below) flex their creative muscles.
