Red Beard’s Rum Barrel
The Red Beard’s Rum Barrel cocktail at Lei Low Bar in Houston is served in a genuine white oak barrel that is custom-made locally. There are two Barrel aged rums actually in this drink — one that sits in a sherry barrel, and Disaronno that is aged for six months in a new barrel made by the same company that made the Barrel mug that it is served in. Add to that Fassionola syrup (a secret recipe made in house of exotic fruits), pineapple, orange, grapefruit, and lime juices, and a dash of Galliano and bitters made from old whiskey barrels finish it off with spice.
