When I think of a quick, healthy way to start my day, I think Taco Bell.
Finally our prayers have been answered: Taco Bell has unveiled a breakfast menu that’ll start next month. Specifically, the “restaurant” chain will be introducing the Waffle Taco, a nausea-inducing taco that consists of a waffle as its shell with sausage and eggs inside. “Taco Bell Breakfast is classic breakfast tastes (eggs, sausage, bacon, and hash browns) with a Taco Bell twist–products uniquely wrapped up and portable for consumers’ ‘on-the-go’ lifestyle,” said a statement from the restaurant.
We know what you’re thinking: What’s the calorie count? Hard to say yet, but given that Taco Bell is aiming its sight on McDonald’s menu, we have a few clues. An Egg McMuffin consists of 290 calories and 12g of fat. McGriddles, those delicious breakfast sandwiches dipped in maple syrup, run about 550 calories for the sausage, egg, and cheese variety, with 31g of fat. It’s looking closer to that.
Instead of the Taco Bell drive-thru, opt for these healthy, mass-building breakfast choices in the morning. Your stomach will probably thank you later.
