Perfect Pigs In A Blanket
Pigs in a blanket, due to their blunt, unsubtle, nakedly greasy taste, are often thought of as children’s food or something to drunkenly nibble on at some fancy reception. But this is just a result of the kind of closed minded, condescending line of thought that compels people to deny themselves something just because it’s obviously unhealthy. A segment of hot dog — all beef is always best, but here you can use anything, within reason (no turkey dogs) — wrapped in croissant dough. Just use the Pillsbury type, that’s the kind of lack of pretension we’re talking here. Throw it in the oven until the dough’s brown and crispy then pair with some mac ‘n cheese from a box with some cheap beer to take some edge of the delicious shame.
