Eisbocks are technically illegal for U.S. breweries, but that only makes this brewery, winery, and meadery’s eponymous Raspberry Eisbock more appealing. The Warren, Michigan–based company has watched this creation — labeled an “experimental high-gravity fruit beer” — earn top ratings around the world since its inception in 2004. The combination lager infused with fresh raspberries and raspberry juice is sweet, somehow chocolatey, and in a word, intense.
