Blackfoot River makes its amazing India pale ale the old-fashioned way — prizing layers of subtle flavor over a huge blast of hops. The Helena outfit uses pale Maris Otter barley on its own (hence, Single Malt) for a mild, malty base, then pours in juicy citrus hops from Washington's Yakima Valley.
