Albuquerque’s Marble Brewery took home the gold from the Great American Beer Festival in 2014 (and the Silver in 2012) for this hop-packed ruby brew. The luscious amber-red hue comes from caramel malts generously included in the mash — which also help boost the beer to 9-percent ABV. And the hop-forward flavors (juice, pine) are thanks to heavy-handed hopping in the kettle and during fermentation.
