Washington, D.C.: Penn Quarter
Brewer: DC Brau
Style: Porter
This robust porter considers itself somewhere between a porter and a stout, on account of starting chocolatey sweet and finishing off dry and roasty, all at a very reasonable 5.5% ABV. Fun fact: It’s named for the Penn Quarter area of Washington, D.C., where Lincoln was shot (at Ford’s Theatre) and where many bars, restaurants, and museums are today.
