West Virginia is still an emerging craft beer state, but the breweries it has are solid. Bridge Brew Works is one of the best, mastering a wide range of styles, from the oatmeal stout to German kolsch, and this excellent Belgian dubbel. This deep red ale matches the best of Belgium with bready malts and fruit notes over a crisp, dry body. We think the Trappist monks would approve. We certainly do.
