Bigfoot is one of the first American-style (more hops, more alcohol) barleywines, dating back to 1983, and it’s only improved with each annual release. It has the pungent, citrus hops of an imperial IPA, but the wave of grapefruit and orange rind is balanced by strong toffee and caramel flavors from the crystal malts. We recommend buying (at least) a six-pack, drinking a couple now, and cellaring the rest for five years or more.
