The Peanut Butter & Co.’s Crunch Time
The Peanut Butter & Co. started as a peanut butter sandwich shop in New York City’s fabled Greenwich Village, so it’s no surprise that this butter — the most peanut-heavy of any we could find (it’s nearly equal parts peanuts and butter) — works best when paired with other flavors. It’s fine with a spoon, sure, but it’s best with barebones raspberry preserve or, if you’re feeling a little adventurous, in a peanut butter and pickle sandwich. Oh, and unlike most of the peanut butter on this list, this stuff doesn’t need to be stirred.
The gist: A crunchy Jif for the gourmet set, it’s not too salty, not too sweet, and works well with anything but best paired with something of strong character, such as a nice sour jam or a salty dill pickle.
Price: $5 for a 16 oz. jar.Back to top
