Distilled In: Yamazaki, Japan (It’s the only one of the bunch not created in Scotland.)
Average Price (Per Under the Label): $160, but it retails for $250. (The brand-spanking new Hibiki Japanese Harmony is more affordable, at $65.)
Looks like: An amber-tinged liquid butterscotch.
Smells Like: Banana mixed with burnt honey.
Tastes Like: It’s complicated, unusually so, but there’s definitely signs of dried apricot. It’s an agreeable, easy ride from start to finish, from nose to throat.
Goes Well With: Don’t mess around. Savor this with a filet mignon (four and a half minutes on each side and no more). Drink it straight, no rocks.
