9. The Firestone Walker Invitational Beer FestGet More Info
Where: Paso Robles, California
When: June 2020
California’s Firestone Walker Brewing Company just held its eighth annual invitational beer fest at the beginning of June. The event has cemented itself as a favorite among brewers, writers, and fans thanks to Firestone’s ability to call in some of the country’s most beloved breweries, along with serving its own beer that ranges from classic to innovative.
“The Firestone Walker Invitational Beer Fest was born from a dream of creating a world-class festival featuring not only the best brewers in the world, but brewers whom we feel are leaders in the craft beer revolution,” says Matt Brynildson, brewmaster at Firestone Walker. “This is a day where we can all put down our sales and marketing pitches, and simply commune and share our beers and stories with people who are truly interested in craft beer. I think the opportunity to network with these brewers—knowing that the head brewer or owner is going to be there—is a real drawing point. That’s why we focus on creating such a great experience for the brewers themselves. When the focus is on them, the rest follows naturally.”
General admission for the festival runs from 12 p.m. (early-admission tickets grant access at 11 a.m.) to 4:15 p.m., when awards are given for best breweries and best restaurants. There are special events like talks, popcorn pairings, and live music.
