1. Jing-A Brewing
The founders of Jing-A started brewing for themselves back in 2012, then began sharing the fruits of their labor about a year later. Now, their flagship brewpub, in the expat hangout neighborhood of Sanlitun, offers more than a dozen beers on tap, including core beers like the smooth Flying Fist IPA, the super-dry Airpocalypse Double IPA, and a sweet, malty Tuhao Gold Pilsner. They’re known for incorporating Chinese ingredients, like red rice koji, ginger, and Sichuan peppercorn. Depending on when you visit, you can try the summery Beijing Bikini Watermelon Wheat, the full-bodied Über-Jing Oktoberfest Lager, or the belly-warming Toasted Chestnut Brown Ale.
