4. Glenfiddich IPA Cask
It’s not just well-known Irish distillers diving into beer and whisky collaborations. Glenfiddich—the illustrious distillery with the world’s most awarded single malt Scotch whisky—released IPA Cask as part of its Experimental Series line of whiskies. It’s a collaboration with Speyside craft brewery. Together, Glenfiddich and Speyside, created a new IPA they stored in whisky casks. They then rested the whisky in barrels containing different levels of hops. Instead of the sweetness of Irish whiskey, this offering combines the oaky, rich taste of Glenfiddich with the slightly bitter, hoppy flavors of India Pale Ale.
