Jim Beam Signature Craft Quarter Cask
Official Word: The simplified version of what’s going on in a bottle of Quarter Cask is this: your typical, 5- to 6-year-old Jim Beam is blended with whiskey that has been aged in smaller casks for 4 to 5 years. So that’s some regular Beam married with some special Beam in a new, unique expression.
Word on the Street: This and other Signature Craft whiskeys are available online now, and are probably on a shelf near you. The thing is, people don’t often scoop up Jim Beam products. But sometimes they should, and this is one of those times.
The Final Word: It’s a high-end expression of Jim Beam. Nothing fancy, nothing totally different from what you’d expect. They perfectly integrated the smaller cask whiskey, so the flavors are more defined and robust, and that’s a really good thing. if you like Beam, you’ll love this. If you don’t, this might change your mind.
