Peated Irish Whiskey
There’s only one peated whiskey coming from Ireland at the moment, and that’s Connemara. A product of Cooley Distillery, it’s a single grain with lighter, Speyside-like tendencies (the company compares it to an Islay — it’s your call). Still, the whiskey doesn’t betray some common Irish notes, like upfront honey sweetness and a finish that stays vanilla sweet under the last splash of peat.
