The thistle glass is a variation on the tulip glass courtesy of Scotland. The glass resembles the Scottish national flower that is its namesake with a perfectly spherical bowl at the base and conical walls that extend upwards. We find tulip glasses to better impart aroma and for overall taste. Still, the thistle makes for an undeniably striking design and we’re more than happy to sip a rich, malty Wee Heavy out of a thistle glass when the occasion presents itself.
