Scotch whisky may not have been in the spotlight this year among barrel-aged spirit lovers, but both the blends and the single malts were having success in the shadows. A ton of great product hit the market this year, some in miniscule quantities and others to be available somewhat regularly in the future.
You may have focused on bourbon, played catch-up with Japanese bottlings, or centered on Canada’s big year up north. But now it’s time to look homeward to the great fatherland of whisky once more (yes, we know Ireland claims the title of father of whisky, too. Let it go).
