Big Beer Companies Went Shopping For Each Other
We’re sure you saw the news, but the merger of AB Inbev and SABMiller in late 2015 made headlines almost everywhere. The $107 billion merger, now almost guaranteed to happen after a few required capital divestitures take place, puts the two largest beer companies in the world under one massive corporate umbrella, controlling something like 35 percent of total global beer production. This could be a huge game-changer for craft beer in the next few years.
