Chocolate and bananas are a classic smoothie combination. And for good reason—it’s a not-too-sweet, yet totally indulgent mix that can satisfy just about anyone’s sweet tooth.
This particular version is perfect for recovery because it includes a scoop of your favorite chocolate protein powder, coconut water to help you rehydrate, and tart cherry juice to give your muscles everything they need to repair themselves.

Makes 1 servings
- 1 frozen banana, cut into chunks
- 1 scoop chocolate protein powder
- 2 dates, pitted
- ⅔ cup coconut water
- ⅓ cup tart cherry juice
- ¼ teaspoon spirulina
How to make it
Place all ingredients together in a blender, and blend until pureed. Serve immediately.
