From carrot juice to cardamom pods to instant coffee, there are hundreds of ingredients that could make their way into your go-to blended breakfast or post-workout recovery drink. Problem is, some just don’t jive. (If you’ve ever thrown Swiss chard into a smoothie as an alternative to spinach or kale, you know what we’re talking about.)
