Subaru Forester
The Forester includes a new 182 hp 2.5-liter four-cylinder BOXER engine that finally features start-stop ignition as well as AWD. A new system called DriverFocus monitors the driver for signs of both drowsiness and distraction and warns you about potential dangers. The same software uses facial recognition and is wired to your preferred pre-sets (like seat position and satellite radio faves). The brand also added rear-seat legroom and significantly increased noise isolation. The carmaker promises a more refined and upscale cabin. The updated interior offers 76 cubic feet of cargo space, and the Forester is still built for driving on dirt and snow, with 8.7 inches of ground clearance. All in all, this looks like an excellent update to a stalwart crossover.
