The 3rd Day of Kicksmas: Montrail Rogue Fly
Another oldie cracking my top 12: The Montrail Rogue Fly. I got my first pair of these back in 2011, and quickly snapped up every pair I could find in my size. For starters, look at that sweet design. For a trail shoe, they’re super lightweight with just the slightest rubber nubs on the bottom. They’re really best suited for racing, and that’s how I still employ them: I laced up these to race the USATF Masters 5km Cross Country Championships in October—held entirely on grass and hard-packed dirt path. I’ve also worn them in the past for 5Ks on icy roads.
