The 5th Day of Kicksmas: Reebok FloatRide Racer
Hot on the heels of yesterday’s FloatRide Run is Reebok’s FloatRide Racer. Because of the super lightweight “Float Foam” that Reebok’s using, this shoe tips the scales at about 3 oz. That’s feather-light. Typically it would make the shoe ride about as smoothly as a school bus when you’re sitting above the rear axle in that you’d feel every bit of the road. But astonishingly, this thin layer does an incredible job of soaking up the impacts. It’s not overly soft, but it’s perfectly suited for races up to 5K, for me. The shoe will be available for purchase early in 2018 (at a spendy $250!), but Reebok is renaming it FloatRide Run Fast Pro.
