Hardtail Bike: Cannondale Cujo 1
Light and simple, hardtails are great for non-extreme trails, climbing, and bike-packing. Cannondale packs a lot of tech into the Cujo: an impressive selection of components — LX/XT drivetrain and powerful M425 brakes — Rock Shox Judy Gold fork, and a sturdy set of wheels mated to cushy, “plus” 2.8” tires. And there’s a dropper post for gnarly descents. We’ve been pedaling its predecessor for a few years, and the only complaint we had — so-so wheels — are addressed in the Cujo 1.
