Honda VFR800X Crossrunner
Honda’s “X” lineup of ADV-styled street bikes has only featured twin-cylinder machines, but the new V-four Crossrunner may be making its way Stateside. The VFR800X is powered by the same basic engine long seen in Honda’s Interceptor sport bike. Packaged in this taller, adventure-touring themed machine, the 800 would round out Honda’s other offerings in the segment (the CB500X and NC700X), providing more grunt (100-plus horsepower) and sophistication with electronic traction control. Like the Interceptor, the Crossrunner has an elegant single-sided swingarm and a twin-spar aluminum frame, wrapping an engine that delivers that sweet V-four sound.
