Aimed at the café racer market, the XJR1300 doesn’t just look retro, it is. It’s a stout, big-bore, inline-four engine, that’s air-cooled, which is rare these days. Flat-black, four-into-one exhaust, like the modded bikes of the 70s. And twin rear shocks, albeit very high-end, high-performance models from Öhlins of Sweden. There’s also a dealer-installed Racer kit available, that includes a bikini fairing, shorty front fender and seat cowl, all in carbon fiber, plus lower-riding clip-on handlebars.
