Nemo Roamer Self-Inflating Mattress ($299.95)
If you have ever slept on a regular air mattress in a tent before, then you know that awful squeaking sound that it makes when you roll over in the night. And if you have shared an air mattress with someone else, you have probably experienced the dreadful bed sink.
Say good-bye to all of that. Nemo’s Roamer Self-Inflating Mattress is nicer than my home mattress. I kid not. I was slightly skeptical when I got the mattress because is was so light and can roll up to be pretty small, but after my first night sleeping on it, I was sold.
The Roamer is 4-inches-thick and also has a layer of cell foam that makes it plush. No noise at night, and I fastened two mattresses together to make a giant bed that fit two adults and two large dogs. Needless to say, the neighbors who slept on a squeaking mattress were a tad bit jealous.
We’ve even used the Roamers on top of a boney, uneven sleeper sofa – what would typically be a night of crooked neck and springs in the back turned out to be restful sleep.
