Aerial Repeaters
The biggest and most expensive consumer grade fireworks are the multi-shot aerial repeaters often referred to as “cakes.” Basically, cakes are a group of mortars wrapped together and connected by a single fuse. The two most popular sizes are 200 gram and 500 gram, which refers to the amount of composition in the entire amalgamation. Once lit, the firework cake follows a pre-designed sequence of firings, shooting exploding shells of various colors and sizes into the sky. The patterns made by the series of exploding shells are often designed to resemble flowers, comets, spinners, and other pyrotechnic effects.
We recommend:
- Half and Half Big: A sky painting display featuring unusual bicolored shells
- Vampire Blood Twenty: A five shot show, highlighted by eerie and rarely seen blood-red colored effects
- Waking Up the Gators Large: A showy breaks with plenty of sound effects like crackles and whistles
