Skyrockets
Skyrockets are among the oldest fireworks. Basically, they consist of a paper tube loaded with propellant to make it fly and frequently, a pyrotechnic composition so it explodes at apogee in a burst of color and sound. Unlike reloadable mortars or cakes, you can aim a skyrocket and visually follow its trajectory as it flies. Skyrocket designers use different chemical mixtures and wrapping techniques to obtain different colors and patterns.
We recommend:
- Blue Streak: Large powerful rocket with hard-to-produce bright blue stars
- Red Neck Rockets: A longtime favorite in Texas.
