Jeep CJ 7
The Jeep CJ 7 is what some people consider the last of the ‘real Jeeps.’ The CJ 7 design is reminiscent of the Willys used by Americans in World War II in the 1940’s.
Produced from 1976 through 1986, the CJ 7 was built for off-roading in the years before modern SUVs started packing mall parking lots. Forget about heated seats and cruise control. The only options a real man would dare order on the CJ 7 were a winch and steel doors.
The CJ 7 is a great second car for spring and summer if you live where the weather allows you to cruise around without a top or doors on. Standard four-wheel-drive and the optional hardtop make the CJ 7 a good retro vehicle for all seasons.
CJ 7s that have survived a fair amount of abuse go for about $6000. CJ 7s in good condition cost between $9,000 and $15,000.Back to top
