“Flossing,” a method of mobility advocated by CrossFit mobility training luminary Kelly Starrett of MobilityWOD fame, involves tightly wrapping an elastic band around a joint to loosen up tight tissue, improve range of motion, or simply apply compression. CrossFitters will often wrap Voodoo bands around knees, elbows, and ankles after workouts.
