Camp Shred returned once again to the San Elijo campgrounds March 11-12 for their annual weekend filled with surf, live music, great food and community activation.
The Camp Shred 2017 event showcased popular surf brands, a Pizza Port beer garden, and two days full of surf demo action, all to benefit California’s State Parks.

If you missed the world’s largest surf demo event, no worries. We’ve got you covered with some of the most epic gear the weekend had to offer:
RAEN

We were blown away by RAEN’s Spring 2017 Collection, which features new styles like the Scripps, cut from stainless steel and featuring metal details, as well as the ever-popular Remmy.
Surftech

Surftech is all about community. The brand has taken it upon themselves to highlight local community shapers, with their 2017 collection bringing together the best materials and designs the surf community has to offer.
This year, they’re working with shapers such as Roy Sanchez of Pacific Wave Craft, Shawn Ambrose of Real surf Shop, and Dane Hantz of Vulcan Surfboards.
Superbrand

Superbrand’s booth was packed all weekend long, giving credence to the brand’s continuous popularity among the surf community.
Justin Cote took us through the standout models from the weekend, which included the Siamese Twin, as well as the Magic Mix.
Captain Fin

Local favorite Captain Fin, based out of Oceanside, California, brought a wide variety of fins for testers to try out over the weekend.
Dane Reynolds’ custom fin for the brand (seen above) was a clear standout from the event.
Haydenshapes

Alongside the Untitled model, the Hypto Krypto and Plunder were most sought-after board models from Haydenshapes’ offering.
The Hypto Krypto is the brand’s most popular board, but the Plunder and Untitled held their own during demos as well.
Futures Fins

We talked to the crew at Futures, who told us that far and above their other varieties, twin fins were the clear winner over the Camp Shred weekend.
Futures Fins are known for their performance and durability, and their booth was packed with eager visitors both Saturday and Sunday.
Arbor Skateboards

Arbor Skateboards brought a variety of decks to this year’s Camp Shred, each one a testament to the brand’s pursuit of producing quality, handmade products everyone can enjoy.
The brand showcased boards from shorter models to swallowtail cruisers to classic longboards, making sure to include boards from a variety of their collections for attendees to check out.
Otis

After looking through their Spring 2017 collection, our favorite style from Otis was the Mona, a vintage-inspired frame with a modern twist.
Otis uses mineral glass for all of their lenses, providing a durable, scratch-resistant material for consumers.
