The Sprint Cup Trophy
In 10 years of NASCAR Sprint Cup racing, Johnson has recorded 26 poles, 58 wins, and 241 top tens. And it seems he has left no object related to his impressive list of victories unaccounted for. “I’ve collected everything over the years – all my fire suits, helmets, and trophies, like this Sprint Cup Trophy from 2010 – housing them in multiple storage units,” he says. But when one of those lockers was looted, the reigning Brickyard 400 champion decided it was best to move everything inside a secure, Charlotte-based warehouse. On the upside, he now has a personal museum of his accomplishments. But exactly how much does such an Elvis-style indulgence cost? “A couple hundred thousand dollars, at least,” he admits.
