Our Favorite Men’s Boots for Fall 2018

One of our favorite things about fall (apart from the cooler nights and changing leaves and feeling of invigoration in the air) is all of the new gear that hits the shelves. Summertime is all about shedding layers – it’s too hot to think of wear anything with sleeves, let alone baselayers and midlayers and beanies, and so on.

Fall is when all of that starts to change. Sweaters look appealing once again, long pants seem necessary, and putting on a real pair of shoes makes sense.

So, in preparation for one of our favorite seasons, we decided that it was about time to gather up one of our favorite fall staples: boots.

Here are six of the best fall boots for 2018.

An eco-friendly Chelsea boot? Sign us up, please. Combining style with sustainability is always tricky to do, but Astorflex nails it with the Bitflex Chelsea. The leather is softened with all natural ingredients, the soles are 100-percent natural crepe, and the footbed is ergonomic. The cherry on top? The boots are handmade in Northern Italy.

You know Danner for their dedication to quality and classic look. With the brand’s Heritage Line, they’ve combined superior performance with lightweight materials. Pairing their classic look with modern technology means that these boots look good and perform even better.

The EnduroWeave features a woven upper, Ortholite midsole, a Vibram SPE midsole and Fuga outsole, as well as a mesh lining for comfort and support.

Red Wing Heritage Rover Boot ($270)

There are boots that last a season or two, and then there are boots that last a lifetime. The Red Wing Heritage Rover Boot falls into the latter category. Originally debuted in 1952 and crafted for comfort ever since, the 2018 Rover sees design details like oil-tanned leather from Red Wing, Minnesota, that is water, stain and perspiration-resistant, as well as welt construction that allows for resoling. Take care of these boots properly, and they’ll last you for decades to come.

Original Chippewa Huckberry x Chippewa – 6″ Service Boot ($280)

No break-in period? Music to our ears. The Original Chippewa is an American-made collaboration between Huckberry and Chippewa, and among its features is a resoleable Goodyear welt and durable Vibram sole. The boot is a limited-edition run, so if you’re drooling over it now, we suggest picking up a pair before they run out.

Forsake Range Low ($140)

The brand is known for sneakerboots that function just as well off-hill as on, and the Waterproof Range Low is no exception. Featuring a waterproof and breathable membrane, Virbam Megagrip outsole, and an EVA midsole for all-day comfort, this boot is made for any adventure you throw its way.
