2. Building the best mattress for you
Every Helix mattress is constructed with a “supportive core,” a layer of microcoils fixed between two different types of foam. The first strikes a balance between memory foam and latex, which contours to your body. The second is polyurethane, which is designed to keep a person cool. All of these are then wrapped in a breathable cover.
And unlike old-school mattress coils, these microcoils are designed to give the bed better balance. The coils are individually placed, helping to prevent you from getting stuck in one position, stop the bed from wobbling when you shift, and relieve pressure points. Helix personalizes the foam layers according to your sleep quiz results.
“It’s like a layer cake,” Tishman says. “We play around with the density, thickness, and order of each layer depending on the results of your sleep quiz.”
