Not all water bottles are created equal. KOR+ takes regular tap water and upgrades it into hydrogen-rich antioxidant water, on-demand. KOR offers a diverse line of sustainable hydration products that we already enjoy, such as the KOR Water Fall, a countertop filtration system inspired by the artisanal pour-over coffee method, and KOR ROK, a double-walled, stainless steel insulated reusable bottle. But the KOR+ is definitely our newest favorite for a bevy of reasons. The magic lies in its patented coconut charcoal carbon capsule; as water is pulled through the spout, it instantly purifies and balances pH levels while infusing the water with minerals and molecular hydrogen.
The KOR+ has a sleek aesthetic and non-cumbersome design. It’s well constructed, BPA-free, and feels as durable as it appears. The cap features a seal that prevents leakage and dribbling, so there’s no need to worry when tossing it in your gym bag or backpack. And if you prefer your water to be chilled to perfection, the mouth is also wide enough to drop a few ice cubes in.
We found assembling and dissembling the bottle to be very intuitive, which makes hand washing quick and easy. Or, feel free to sterilize it in the dishwasher (top rack only) and it will withstand more than 500 washes before showing any visible degradation. However, dishwasher safe does not equal microwave safe, so only use your KOR+ to carry cold or room temperature water. And before you ask, no — alcoholic beverages are not recommended. beverages are not recommended.
It’s also important to note that the filters are designed for use with potable water only, so don’t go filling it with natural lake or stream water. Each KOR+ filter will last up to one month of regular use and new ones can be ordered online for $15.
The company launched a KOR+ Indiegogo campaign this week, which will remain active for 30 days. There are various “perk packages” available on the page, starting with one bottle and one filter ($26) and scaling up to four bottles and 12 filters ($165). During this period, they hope to reach their target goal of $75,000 through pre-orders, with shipping expected to start in December 2017. In the meantime, the full line of innovative Kor water bottles at Amazon.
